About Our Speaker
Joe Owens, PhD, serves as Product Leader for Enterprise AI Infrastructure at UCSF, where he guides teams in developing and deploying artificial intelligence tools across the institution's health, education, research, and administrative missions. Drawing from his neuroscience and biomedical engineering background, he previously led product development for digital health platforms and clinical-grade wearables at Verily Life Sciences and Google and served as an entrepreneur in residence at Google [x]. After beginning his commercial career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, he has dedicated his work to combining clinical research expertise with product leadership to improve healthcare through thoughtful use of technology.
